About

For the past decade,

Joe Lombardi has served our community as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Kitsap County, Assistant Attorney General for Washington State, and a Public Defender. Having worked as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney at every level of practice in state criminal law, Joe is prepared to keep our communities safe and our justice system accountable, fair, and compassionate. He has:

  • Put murderers, domestic abusers, and other serious violent criminals behind bars.
  • Recovered the life savings of seniors and homeowners who had been defrauded.
  • Protected the civil rights of hundreds of our neighbors.

Experienced and talented prosecutors leaving in droves.​

Mismanaged cases that result in violent offenders going free.

People’s civil rights being violated by a lack of transparency and accountability.​

Joe Lombardi will restore the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to the highest standards of safety and justice. He will:

Increase community safety by prioritizing prosecuting the most serious violent offenses and personally overseeing more cases.

Ensure law enforcement resources aren’t wasted and criminals don’t go free by recruiting and retaining high-quality prosecutors.

Expand the use of diversion programs for low-level and first-time offenders that are proven to reduce cycles of incarceration and crime.

Connect offenders with mental health issues to services that will help support them in the community and end the continuous cycle of incarceration

Commit to prosecuting those who execute unlawful federal enforcement actions in our community and make policy changes that limit ICE involvement in county cases.
